Dear Colleagues:

On behalf of the CROI Foundation and our Program Committee, we wish to express our deepest regrets for the pain, confusion, and disruption that recent actions by parts of the US government have had on the HIV response and other global health programs. We reach out to all of our colleagues and partners who are enduring such difficult times and stand strong with those affected by HIV and their communities.

Although the situation remains fluid, we wish to assure you that the 2025 Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections, CROI, will continue to be a welcoming environment where people from around the world come together to share knowledge and build bridges.  We continue to deeply value the dissemination of critical scientific information in an atmosphere that allows for shared discourse and learning.

Our efforts are centered on delivering on our mission to ensure that science is presented unimpeded by the events of these past weeks and that all efforts are supported that advance the health and well-being of the communities we serve.

We will have robust and dynamic in-person participation this year at CROI. For those who may not be able to join us in person, we have established a strong virtual option. Instructions are posted on our website for transitioning to virtual attendance should that be necessary. We are making every effort to facilitate alternative in-person presenters for those who are unable to attend the conference.

Please visit our website over the next weeks for updates on policies and procedures we have in place to mitigate any disruptions you may be experiencing and look forward to seeing you all in-person or virtually at CROI 2025.
