Thank you to those authors who have already contacted us to modify their author list or remove their presentation title due to evolving US Federal Government guidelines on travel or presentation. For those who still need to either (1) remove your name from an abstract author list or (2) remove their presentation title within the printed program pocket guide, we have extended the deadline to February 12, 2025.
Just to reiterate, the February 12 deadline is to remove your name or the title of your presentation from the printed program pocket guide that contains only the names of authors (no institutions) and the title of the abstract (see CROI 2024 example).
To make a change, please email CROIinfo@iasusa.org.
For all other changes related to the US Federal Government restrictions, the initial deadlines are:
- February 27, 2025, to edit the abstract text to remove specific terms disallowed by Federal policy from the electronic abstract book or other electronic materials (eg, the mobile App) that goes to registered attendees on March 8, 2025
- Changes be made thereafter but please note that abstracts are released to the public on the same day they are presented (a 24-hour notice for these changes will be appreciated)
For those not impacted by the restrictions on Federal Government employees, we cannot make changes to your abstracts at this time as is the standard CROI policy. Please allow us this time to address the concerns of your colleagues who are impacted by these policies.
