The CROI Program Committee wants to reassure you that are we strongly committed to the presentation and discussion of the most impactful science in our field at CROI 2025 in San Francisco in March. At the same time, we want to acknowledge the uncertainty and difficulties for our community as a result of evolving US Federal policy requiring some abstract authors to make adjustments.

If you are not impacted by these policy changes (eg, you are not a Federal Government employee), you do not need to do anything. Updates on the impact on CROI 2025 and answers to most questions about CROI can be found at CROIconference.org.

If you are impacted by Federal policy changes, and either need to remove yourself as an author on a CROI abstract or change your travel plans, please email CROIinfo@iasusa.org with the abstract information and the specific action needed.

  • February 11, 2025 – Deadline to notify us to be removed from the list of authors in the printed program
  • February 27, 2025 – Deadline to notify us to be removed from the list of authors on an abstract in electronic materials (eg, mobile App, website, abstract archive)

If you are the presenting author and you cannot present due to Federal travel restrictions, please contact us with the abstract information and provide the name and affiliation of the new presenting author by February 11.

If you need to change from in-person to virtual attendance, please send your request to CROI@maritz.com. There is no deadline for this change, nor for switching back to in-person if you are later permitted to attend in person. If you switch back to in-person, we will do our best to assist you in finding hotel accommodations.

If you need to cancel your hotel reservation, send your cancellation request to CROI@maritz.com. Rest assured we will ensure you are not charged a 1-night fee for cancellation as long as you request the cancellation at least 24 to 72 hours before your reservation start date (cancellation policy varies by hotel).
