We are excited to welcome you to Denver in just a few short weeks! This past year has been a tumultuous one for the global HIV research community. Perhaps more than ever, it is essential that we come together in solidarity, speak with a unified voice in support of continued investment in research and programs, and stand firmly with people affected by HIV and emerging viruses worldwide.

Almost 3,000 of you have already registered for CROI and are eager to hear and discuss insights from plenaries, symposia, and more than 1000 oral and poster abstracts. The cutting-edge science we share will continue to guide our determined progress, even in challenging times.

Our science has been, and will continue to be, the light that pierces through the darkness. We also recognize that this year, some of our colleagues will not be able to join us in person, due to new visa challenges for visiting the United States, funding issues, and other limitations. Although we will miss their in-person engagement, we warmly welcome their virtual participation.

We are a strong and vibrant community of researchers, practitioners, advocates, and community members united by one determined voice.

The CROI 2026 Scientific Program Committee Chair Dr Nicolas Chomont, discusses the upcoming conference in the latest episode of the Going anti-Viral podcast, highlighting its role in advancing HIV research, supporting new investigators, and sustaining momentum toward an HIV cure. We encourage you to listen for a preview of the outstanding science featured at this year’s meeting. Click here to listen to the podcast.

We look forward to seeing you in Denver as we celebrate our science and amplify our voices, together, in support of our community and our shared purpose.

With warm regards,

CROI Foundation
