We continue to monitor the evolving guidance from the Executive Order restricting travel for some Federal Government Employees as well as Health and Human Services imitations on in-person presentations and external communications. Based on the current guidelines, we will provide additional opportunities for oral, poster, and themed discussion presenters impacted by these Federal Government policies:
- Poster Presenters: Posters can be displayed without the poster presenter being present during the session. The poster will be listed in the conference materials, including the enduring materials (eg, abstract database, ePoster archive, and special CROI Abstract issue of Topics in Antiviral Medicine)
- Oral Presenters: An 8-minute recorded presentation may replace the in-person presentation, or the oral presentation can be converted to a poster under the guidelines stated above. Engagement with audience questions and answers may not be viable, but we continue to investigate options
- Themed Discussion Presenters: We are exploring options for sharing a 5-minute video presentation during the session and suggest that all Themed Discussion presenters move forward with recording a 5-minute Science Spotlight video as suggested on the Poster Presentation Guidelines page
- Abstracts for All Presentations: We will continue to honor author-directed modifications to the abstracts including the removal of certain terms, and leave to the author the decision as to whether the edits will impact the integrity of the science
We will contact the impacted presenters with more details. As circumstances change, we will adapt further. Our goal, as always, is to share the latest and best research in HIV, hepatitis viruses, SARS-CoV-2 (including long COVID), MPVX, and their related conditions.
