ALERT: It has come to our attention that 7starshotelbooking.com and conferencecare.org have been contacting our attendees offering assistance with hotel accommodations. Registration and housing correspondence for 2025 should only come from CROI and our housing partner, Maritz, and hotel reservations should only be made during the official registration process through the Maritz system. These and other such organizations are referred to as pirates. They charge your credit card but do not make a hotel reservation, leaving you without both money and a room.

We have been informed that another scammer is reaching out to our attendees. If you receive an invoice from info@CROI2025.org, please do not engage with it or click any of the links, as it is a scam. If you have received, or in the future receive such emails, please forward them to us. If you inadvertently made a payment to this group, contact your credit card company and cancel the transaction immediately.

To help protect yourself from scams, please follow these tips:

  • Verify the email address: Ensure that any email you receive is from a legitimate CROI domain (ie, CROIinfo@iasusa.org, CROIregistration@iasusa.org) Be cautious of misspelled or unfamiliar email addresses.
  • Look for personalized information: We always address attendees by their full name (ie, John Smith). If you receive communication using only your first name or a generic greeting, it is likely a scam.
  • Avoid clicking links: Do not click on links or download attachments from suspicious emails. Always visit the official CROI website directly to check for any updates or information.
  • Check for grammatical errors: Scam emails often contain spelling mistakes or awkward phrasing. If the email seems unusual or poorly written, treat it with caution.
  • Contact us directly: If you’re ever uncertain about the legitimacy of an email, please contact us through our official website or by phone for verification.

We strongly encourage you to carefully review any communications you receive from presumably from CROI to ensure they are legitimate.
