The CROI Foundation partners with the International Antiviral Society–USA (IAS–USA) for organization of the conference. The IAS–USA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit professional education organization that has been sponsoring continuing medical education (CME) programs for physicians since 1992 and is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).
The IAS–USA conducts educational conferences across the United States and convenes symposia at major national and international meetings. Donna M. Jacobsen, the Founding Executive Director/President of the IAS–USA, serves as the CROI Executive Manager.
The Scientific Program Committee, headed by Judith S. Currier, MD (Chair), Richard A. Koup, MD (Vice Chair), and Sharon L. Hillier, PhD (Vice Chair), leads scientific programming for CROI 2018. CROI 2018 will present workshops, plenary sessions, symposia, abstract-driven sessions, and poster discussions presenting high-quality and cutting-edge research related to HIV; opportunistic and other infections associated with HIV; organ-system complications of HIV; other retroviruses, including hepatitis B and C viruses; tuberculosis; and their treatments.
